I love making these cinnamon buns as a treat on Sundays. They are more bready than sticky, and I love them!
You will need:
Filling:
Scald milk; stir in margarine, 50 ml sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve 3 ml sugar in 60 ml warm water. Add in yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes. Beat egg; add milk mixture, then yeast mixture. Add 500 ml flour, mix for 5 minutes; add more flour about 125 ml at a time; stir for 2 to 3 minutes until you have a soft dough. Turn dough onto well-floured surface; knead for 5 to 8 minutes. Roll out dough into a large rectangle. In a separate bowl, melt margarine and mix in sugar and cinnamon, then spread filling onto the rectangular shaped dough. Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1 and 1/2 inch chunks. Place on greased cake or pie pan, let sit for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Enjoy.
